Озеро Бросно находится на северо-западе Тверской области России. Это самое глубокое озеро в Тверской области, его наибольшая глубина — 41,5 метра, средняя глубина — 17 метров. Согласно легендам, озеро Бросно — это место обитания «дракона», мифического животного. Причиной возникновения легенд, скорее всего, стала необычно большая глубина озера, и процессы гниения на глубине, приводящие к образованию сероводородных пузырей.
Brosno's lake is situated in the northwest of the Tver region of Russia. This is the deepest lake in the Tver region, its greatest depth is 41,5 meters, average depth is 17 meters. According to legends, Brosno's lake is the habitat of a "dragon", a mythical animal. Unusually deep water of the lake, and the processes of rotting at a depth leading to formation of hydrosulphuric bubbles most likely became the reasons of legends emergence.
