22 сентября 1900 года родился Ожегов Сергей Иванович. Это знаменитый советский лингвист, лексикограф, доктор филологических наук, профессор. Автор «Толкового словаря русского языка». Сергей учился на филологическом факультете в Петербурге, но был призван на фронт и он прервал обучение. По окончанию военной службы Ожегов приступил к занятиям на факультете языкознания и материальной культуры Петроградского университета. Затем он переехал в Москву, где он преподавал в университетах и институтах. Во время Великой Отечественной войны Ожегов не эвакуировался из столицы, а остался преподавать. Ожегов являлся автором одного из самых известных и популярных русских словарей — однотомного «Словаря русского языка» и соавтором «Толкового словаря русского языка».

Sergey studied at philological faculty in St. Petersburg, but was called on the front and interrupted his styding. After ending of military service Ojegov started to study at faculty of linguistics and material culture of Petrograd university. Then he moved to Moscow where he taught at universities and institutes. During the Great Patriotic War Ojegov wasn't evacuated from the capital, and remained to teach. Ojegov was the author of one of the most known and popular Russian dictionaries — one-volume "The dictionary of Russian" and the co-author of "The explanatory dictionary of Russian".
