Kubonit is a very solid material which on hardness approaches to diamond. This material is also known under the name of elbor. It has unique qualities and is successfully used in the modern industry, for production of grinding wheels. Hardness of this material can reach one hundred hectopascals (GPA). Kubonit has a chemical formula BN. Temperature stability of the kubonit is much higher, than of diamond.
