Шапка - это головной убор, предназначенный для украшения или защиты головы от холода. В наше время все головные уборы называют шапками. В Древнем Египте как и в некоторых странах сегодня, в Южном Судане, к примеру, делали шапки из собственных волос. Высота такой шапки может достигать полметра, а вес - несколько килограммов. Шапка Мономаха - символ русского самодержавия, была изготовлена из драгоценных камней в XV веке и является на сегодняшний день самой дорогой шапкой в мире.
