Actually the peanut is not a nut, but a bean fruit. South America is considered the homeland of a peanut. The Spanish conquerors brought it to Europe where Europeans often used it instead of coffee. Later Portuguese delivered a peanut to Africa. A peanut very nutritious product which can grow on poor soils. Earlier the peanut was considered as food of poor people as it was very easy to cultivate it. It is a very tasty fruit, but many people are allergic to it.
