The feijoa is a fruit from South America. This plant was at discovered at the end of the 19th century. In Europe for the first time the fruit appeared in 1890 in France. Today the feijoa grows in the Mediterranean countries, in the Crimea and in the Caucasus. The peel of the fruit is used for tea aromatization. The feijoa is widely applied in cookery, in a cosmetology and as medicine. The feijoa contains vitamins, micro and minerals, acids and ethereal oils with aroma of pineapple and strawberry.
