A monument to a cat named Simeon has recently been opened in Murmansk. According to urban legends, in 90s owners of a cat were coming back from their vacation together with their pet. However, Simeon got lost on the road. The missing cat walked 2000 km (1 250 miles) to come back from Moscow to Murmansk. The road took him 6,5 years.
