Крепость "Орешек" - это древняя русская крепость на Ореховом острове в истоке реки Невы, напротив города Шлиссельбург в Ленинградской области. Она была построена в 1323 году русским князем Юрием Даниловичем. С 1612 по 1702 год она принадлежала шведам. Крепость использовалась как политическая тюрьма. Сейчас это одна из многочисленных достопримечательностей России.

It was constructed in 1323 by the Russian prince Yury Danilovich. From 1612 to 1702 it belonged to Swedes. Fortress was used as a political prison. Now it is one of numerous sights of Russia.
