Санкт-Петербургский ботанический сад

22 февраля 1714 года по указу Петра I как Аптекарский огород с научными, учебными и практическими целями был учрежден Санкт-Петербургский ботанический сад. Главная цель сада состояла в разведении лекарственных трав. Постепенно территория сада расширялась за счёт покупки и присоединения к нему отдельных участков. В 1823 году Аптекарский сад был реорганизован в ботанический, а с 1934 года стал научным отделением Ботанического института им. Комарова РАН. Сегодня это один из старейших ботанических садов России, расположенный на Аптекарском острове в Санкт-Петербурге.

On February 22, 1714 under Peter I's decree as the Pharmaceutical garden with the scientific, educational and practical purposes was founded the St. Petersburg botanical garden. The main goal of the garden consisted in cultivation of medicinal herbs. Gradually the territory of a garden extended due to purchase and accession to it of separate sites. In 1823 the Pharmaceutical garden was reorganized in botanical, and since 1934 it became scientific office of Botanical institute of the Komarov Russian Academy of Sciences. Today it is one of the oldest botanical gardens of Russia located on the Pharmaceutical island in St. Petersburg.
