29 января 2017 года астрономы обнаружили новый астероид и назвали его 2017 BH30. Спустя несколько часов он приблизился к нашей планете. В момент максимального сближения с Землей расстояние между нашей планетой и астероидом составило пятьдесят одну тысячу километров. Ученые выяснили, что диаметр этого астероида был около шести метров. Подобные астероиды безопасны для Земли и её жителей. Однако астероиды чуть крупнее могут причинить много бед. Астероиды с диаметром около 20 метров могут представлять большую угрозу для отдельных регионов нашей планеты.
On January 29, 2017 astronomers found a new asteroid and called it 2017 BH30. Several hours later it approached our planet. At the time of the maximum rapprochement with Earth the distance between our planet and an asteroid was fifty one thousand kilometers. Scientists found out that diameter of that asteroid was about six meters. Similar asteroids are safe for Earth and its inhabitants. However asteroids of a bigger size can cause many troubles. Asteroids with diameter about 20 meters can pose a big threat for certain regions of our planet.
