Lake Kronotsky is a large lake in east part of the peninsula of Kamchatka (Russia), in the territory of Kronotsky Biosphere Reserve, in 30 kilometers to the North from the world famous Valley of geysers. This is the biggest fresh-water lake of Kamchatka. Its area is about two hundred forty two square kilometers. This lake has the form of an isosceles triangle. Average depth of the lake - fifty one meters, and the maximum depth is hundred forty eight meters.
