In the territory of this area there is the biggest park of Moscow - the Izmaylovsky forest park. Initial date of creation of the village Izmailovo is considered to be 1389. In 1930 the Park of Culture and rest "Izmailovo" was founded. Process of accession of lands of the historical Area of Izmailovo to Moscow was gradual, since 1932.
