24 ноября 1730 года в Москве родился Суворов Александр Васильевич. Это великий русский полководец, военный теоретик, национальный герой России. Его отец, Василий Иванович Суворов, был крестником Петра I и автором первого русского военного словаря. Детство провёл в отцовском имении в деревне. Суворов рос слабым, часто болел. Однако с детских лет Суворов проявил тягу к военному делу, пользуясь богатейшей отцовской библиотекой, изучал артиллерию, фортификацию, военную историю. Решив стать военным, Суворов стал закаляться и заниматься физическими упражнениями. Начало боевой деятельности Суворова относится к Семилетней войне 1756—1763 гг. С 1762 года Суворов назначался командиром полков. Ряд побед, одержанных под его командованием, приносят ему славу великого полководца. Суворов участвовал в русско-турецкой войне, в подавлении польского восстания, в Итальянском походе и так далее.

His father, Vasily Ivanovich Suvorov, was Peter's godson and an author of the first Russian military dictionary. He spent the childhood in a fatherly manor in the village. Suvorov grew weak, often was ill. However since childhood Suvorov had craving for military science, using the richest fatherly library, he studied artillery, fortification, military history. Having decided to become a military, Suvorov began to become tempered and be engaged in physical exercises. The beginning of fighting activity of Suvorov belongs to Seven years' war of 1756 — 1763. Since 1762 Suvorov was appointed a commander of regiments. A number of the victories won under its command bring him a glory of a great commander. Suvorov participated in the Russian-Turkish war, in suppression of the Polish revolt, in the Italian campaign and so on.
