Амурский тигр обитает на юго-востоке России, по берегам рек Амур и Уссури в Хабаровском и Приморском краях. Это самый северный тигр, который занесен в Красную книгу Международного союза охраны природы и в Красную книгу Российской Федерации. Амурский тигр является одним из самых крупных тигров с густой шерстью и светлым окрасом. Это единственный вид тигра с толстым слоем подкожного жира (5 см), который спасает его от ледяного ветра. Ночью Амурский тигр видит в пять раз лучше, чем человек.
The Amur tiger lives in southeast of Russia, on coast of Amur and Ussuri Rivers in Khabarovsk and Primorsk regions. This is the most northern tiger who is protected by World Animal Protection. Amur tiger is one of the biggest tigers with dense wool and light color. It is an only species of tiger with a thick layer of subcutaneous fat (5 cm) that saves him from a cold wind. At night Amur tiger can see five times better, than human.
