Национальный парк Смоленское Поозерье находится в европейской части России, в северо-западной части Смоленской области. Он был создан 15 апреля 1992 года. Своим названием парк обязан большому количеству озёр. В 1998 году этот парк принят в Федерацию природных и национальных парков Европы «Европарк». В 2002 году национальный парк принят в число биосферных резерватов программы ЮНЕСКО «Человек и биосфера».
Smolenskoye Poozerye National Park is situated in the European part of Russia, in northwest part of the Smolensk region. He was been created on April 15, 1992. The name of this park is connected with large number of lakes. In 1998 this park was admitted to Federation of natural and national parks of Europe of "Evropark". In 2002 the national park was accepted to number of biospheric wildlife reserves of the program of UNESCO "The Man and the Biosphere".
