Каспийское море - это крупнейший на Земле замкнутый водоём, который из-за своих размеров часто называется морем. Площадь Каспийского моря в настоящее время — примерно 371 000 км², максимальная глубина — 1025 м. Вода в море соленое. На российском побережье расположены города — Махачкала, Каспийск и самый южный город России Дербент. Портовым городом Каспийского моря считается также Астрахань.
The Caspian Sea is the largest closed reservoir on Earth which because of the sizes is often called a sea. The area of the Caspian Sea is about 371 000 km ², the maximum depth is 1025 m. Water in the sea is salty. On the Russian coast the cities — Makhachkala, Kaspiysk and the most southern city of Russia Derbent are located. A seaport of the Caspian Sea is Astrakhan.
