На Марсе как и на Земле есть лёд, однако это сухой лёд. Он состоит из углекислого газа. Этот сухой лёд сосредоточен на северном и южном полюсах Марса. Летом, когда температура на Марсе повышается, сухой лёд испаряется в атмосферу и толщина льда на марсианском полюсе уменьшается. Зимой температура понижается и толщина льда увеличивается. В этот период толщина льда может достигать одного метра.
There is ice on Mars as well as on Earth, however it is a dry ice. It consists of carbon dioxide. This dry ice is concentrated on the northern and southern poles of Mars. In summer when temperature on Mars increases, dry ice evaporates in the atmosphere and ice thickness on the Martian pole decreases. In winter temperature goes down and thickness of ice increases. During this period thickness of ice can reach one meter.
