5 января 1953 года родился Соломин Василий Анатольевич. Это выдающийся боксёр, первый советский чемпион мира и СССР по боксу в лёгком весе (1974, Гавана). Боксом он начал заниматься в 1969 у заслуженного тренера РСФСР Юрия Подшивалова и через год выиграл юношеское первенство. После окончания спортивной карьеры Соломин работал судьёй в Федерации профессионального бокса России. Ежегодно в Перми проводится Турнир юниоров по боксу памяти Василия Соломина. Про его профессиональную карьеру снят документально-публицистический фильм «Глухая защита».
On January 5, 1953 Solomin Vasily Anatolyevich was born. This is an outstanding boxer, the first Soviet world champion and the USSR on boxing in light weight (1974, Havana). He started practicing boxing in 1969 at the honored trainer of RSFSR Yury Podshivalov and in a year won youthful superiority. After the end of his sports career Solomin worked as a judge in The Federation of professional Boxing of Russia. Annually in Perm a boxing Tournament of juniors in of memory of Vasily Solomin is held. About his professional career the documentary and publicistic movie "Full defense" was shot.
