Кроме постройки Исаакиевского собора, он оставил память о себе в России сооружением Александровской колонны (1829—1834) в Санкт-Петербурге. Монферран также писал картины. В 1986 году был выпущен почтовый конверт СССР, посвященный Монферрану.
On January 23, 1786 Montferrand August was born. He is a French and Russian architect, a builder of St. Isaac's Cathedral in St. Petersburg. Except construction of St. Isaac's Cathedral, he left the memory of himself in Russia by a construction of Alexander Column (1829 — 1834) in St. Petersburg. Montferrand also painted pictures. In 1986 the post envelope of the USSR devoted to Montferrand was let out.
