When you talk about where (the place of where a person or a thing is) use Prepositional case.
TEST. What case will you use in each sentence:
1) A pen is in my pocket(?.c.).
2) I put the paper on the table?.c.).
3) Are you going to the party(?.c.) ?
When you talk about where to (the direction) use Accusative case.

Я живу в Москве (Where? в Мокве, P.c. fr om Москва) I live in Moscow |

Куда? Wh ere to? + Accusative case (the direction) |
Я еду в Москву (Wh ere to? в Мокву, A.c. from Москва) I am driving to Moscow |
