Сверхновая Тихо Браге
On November 11, 1572 a Danish astronomer Tikho Brahe was going back home from chemical laboratory and noticed an extraordinary bright star in constellation of Cassiopeia which wasn't earlier there. He understood at once that it was not a planet, and rushed to measure its coordinates. The star shone in the sky for 17 more months; in the beginning it was visible even in the afternoon, but gradually its gloss grew dim. In modern terminology, it was the first #supernova for 500 years in our Galaxy.
