Гора Казбек - ледяная гора, расположенная на границе России и Грузии. Это потухший стратовулкан. Последнее извержение вулкана произошло в шестьсот пятидесятом году до нашей эры. Первым исследователем, покорившим вершину Казбека и выполнившим там геологические и метеорологические исследования, был русский геодезист Пастухов. Высота горы составляет 5033 метра.

The Russian surveyor Pastukhov was the first researcher who has conquered peak of Kazbek and executed there geological and meteorological researches. Height of the mountain is 5033 meters.
