24 января 1931 года в Москве состоялось открытие цыганской театральной студии «Индо-Ромэн», которая впоследствии превратилась в Московский музыкально-драматический цыганский театр «Ромэн». Это один из самых известных и самый старый из ныне действующих цыганских театров мира. Ключевой объект культуры российских цыган, поскольку с момента основания является центром притяжения деятелей цыганского искусства в России.
On January 24, 1931 in Moscow was opened the Gipsy drama school "Indo-Romen" which turned into the Moscow musical and drama Gipsy theater "Romen" subsequently. It is one of the most known and the oldest Gipsy theaters of the world. This is a main object of culture of the Russian Roma as from the moment of its foundation is the center of attraction of personalities of the Gipsy art in Russia.
