Дельфины могут быть морскими или пресноводными. Они обитают во всех открытых морях и иногда заходят в устья крупных рек. Существует 32 вида морских и четыре вида речных дельфинов. Дельфины способны высоко выпрыгивать из воды и очень быстро плавать под водой. Дельфинам свойственны эмоции, в том числе чувство юмора. У них есть чувство вкуса. Как люди, они могут различать сладкий, кислый, горький и солёный вкусы. Дельфин съедает около 25-30 килограммов рыбы в день. С помощью своей «эхолокации» дельфины могут различать своих сородичей, а также металлические предметы разных размеров и составов.

Dolphins can be sea-water or fresh-water. They are found in all open seas and sometimes come into mouths of the large rivers. There are 32 types of sea and four species of river dolphins. Dolphins are able to jump highly out of water and to float very quickly under water. Emotions, including sense of humour are peculiar to dolphins. They have a sense of taste. As people, they can distinguish sweet, sour, bitter and salty tastes. The dolphin eats about 25-30 kilograms of fish a day. By means of "echolocation" dolphins can distinguish their relatives, and also metal subjects of the different sizes and structures.

18 октября 1967 года впервые в истории человечества космический аппарат достиг другой планеты. Речь идет о советской автоматической межпланетной станции "Венера-4", которая была запущена с космодрома Байконур 12 июня 1967 года. К сожалению, спускаемый аппарат станции "Венера-4" был раздавлен атмосферой Венеры на высоте 28 километров от поверхности планеты. Несмотря на то, что аппарат не смог достигнуть поверхности в рабочем состоянии, на основе его измерений была полностью пересмотрена модель атмосферы Венеры, и была получена новая оценка давления у поверхности - около 100 атмосфер.

On October 18, 1967 for the first time in the history of mankind a spacecraft reached other planet. It was the Soviet automatic interplanetary station "Venera-4" which started from Baikonur Cosmodrome on June 12, 1967. Unfortunately, the lander of Venera-4 station was crushed by the atmosphere of Venus at the height of 28 kilometers from a planet surface. In spite of the fact that the device couldn't reach a surface in working condition, on the basis of its measurements the model of the atmosphere of Venus was completely reconsidered, and a new estimate of the pressure at a surface - about 100 atmospheres was received.

17 октября 1740 года был основан город Петропавловск-Камчатский - будущая столица Камчатки. Город был основан участниками второй Камчатской экспедиции Витуса Беринга. В районе Авачинской губы экспедиция перезимовала в бухте, где и было заложено первое поселение, которое чуть позже стало городом Петропавловск-Камчатский. Город был назван по имени двух кораблей экспедиции «Святой Пётр» и «Святой Павел». Сегодня вблизи города возвышаются действующие вулканы. Это место дислокации базы Тихоокеанского флота России.

On October 17, 1740 the city Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky - future capital of Kamchatka was founded. The city was founded by participants of the second Kamchatka expedition of Vitus Beringa. Near the Avacha bay expedition wintered in a bay where was founded the first settlement which became the city Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The city was called by name of two ships of the expedition "Saint Peter" and "Saint Pavel". Today there are active volcanoes near the city. This is a place of a dislocation of base of the Pacific fleet of Russia.
