24 января 1848 года родился Суриков Василий Иванович. Это русский живописец, мастер масштабных исторических полотен. Он принадлежал к роду казаков, которые пришли в Сибирь с Дона с Ермаком еще в 16 веке. Имя Василия Сурикова присвоено Московскому художественному институту. В честь Сурикова назван кратер на Меркурии.

On January 24, 1848 Surikov Vasily Ivanovich was born. This is a Russian painter, a master of large-scale historical cloths. He belonged to a family of Cossacks who came to Siberia from Don with Yermak in the 16th century. The name of Vasily Surikov is appropriated to the Moscow art institute. In honor of Surikov the crater on Mercury was called.
