Озеро Чаны - это солёное озеро в России, в Новосибирской области, и самое крупное озеро в Западной Сибири. Озеро является судоходным. Средняя глубина озера составляет два метра. На озере находится около семидесяти островов. Возникновение озера относят к концу ледникового периода. Оно сформировалось примерно десять — тринадцать тысяч лет тому назад.

On the lake there are about seventy islands. Appearance of the lake is referred to the end of the Ice Age. It was created about ten — thirteen thousand years ago.
