On November 6, 1974 Ton Konstantin Andreevich was born. This is a Russian architect who developed so-called "the Russian-Byzantine style" of temple architecture which was widely adopted in board of Nicholas I who had a kind feeling to it. Among the most known constructions are the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour and Grand Kremlin Palace. Besides, he was the privy councilor and the rector of Imperial Academy of Arts. Konstantin Ton was born in St. Petersburg in a family of the German jeweler. He had two brothers who either became architects. As well as many architects at that time, Konstantin Ton trained abroad. He lived 6 years in Italy, practiced in Paris, and then returned home.
